Privacy policy

Who we are

HS Math ("we") makes the HS Math app and the website hsmath.app: video lessons by Mamosta Marwan for grades 10 to 12. This policy covers both.

What we collect

• Your account: first and last name, email address, password (stored only as a one-way hash), and, if you add them, your phone number, grade, curriculum, school, city, date of birth and gender.
• Your devices: the device's name, platform and app version, so we can keep an account to its allowed number of phones and sign old ones out.
• Your learning: which lessons you watched and how far, the lessons you saved, and the stars you gave.
• Your payments: the semester, amount, payment method, transaction number and the receipt picture you send on hsmath.app/pay, and the prepaid codes you redeem.
• Notifications: a push token from your phone, if you allow notifications.
• Technical records: IP addresses and request logs, kept for security and to fix problems.

We don't use advertising or tracking tools, and we don't sell personal data.

Why we use it

• To run your account and sign you in, including the emailed codes that confirm it is you.
• To play lessons only for students who have access, and to protect them from copying: lesson videos carry a watermark with your email and account number.
• To check your payments and open the semesters you paid for.
• To send emails about your account and payments, and notifications you can turn off in the app.
• To keep the service safe and fix problems.

Who else handles it

We use a few providers who process data only to run HS Math for us:

• Amazon Web Services: hosting and storage, in the Middle East (UAE) region.
• Resend: sending our emails.
• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging: delivering notifications to your phone.

We share data with authorities only when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account while you use it. When you delete it, your personal data is erased straight away (see below). Payment records stay without your name or email, because we need them for accounting. Server logs and backups are deleted automatically after a limited time (at most 6 months).

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time: in the app (Profile, then Delete account) or on hsmath.app/delete-account. We erase your name, email, phone, profile, devices, progress, saved lessons, ratings, notifications and receipt pictures. Semesters on the account are no longer available. This can't be undone.

Students under 18

Most of our students are under 18. If you are, ask a parent or guardian to read this policy with you before you create an account. Parents can ask us to see or delete their child's data at [email protected].

Your rights

You can see and correct your details in the app, and delete your account yourself. For anything else, such as a copy of your data, write to [email protected] and we'll answer within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for important changes, tell you by email or in the app.
